He uses personification to create quite a dark atmosphere because of the way Dr Jekyll was “deadly sick” because when you are sick you can easily find yourself in a very dark mood.

and when you are in a dark you don’t really want to do much and could come across as quite lazy

Jekyll’s soliloquy

•repetitive •repentful •confused •out of control •shock

Jekyll would feel: Fear(didn’t want to be found out)-Guilt(about hydes actions)-anxious(losing his reputation)

What has come over me? I never knew that I had it in me to kill another human being, what if I get fount out? What if I hand myself in? What if there was a witness? What do I do know?

How do I explain that Hyde is another soul taking over my body? Who will believe such a thing this is the sort of things you see in a cartoon for kids.

How can I be blamed for the killing of Carew! I need to think of my cover up story

i shall say “it was a man called Hyde who keeps controlling my body” who will believe such a ridiculous  thing. I am going to lose my reputation and once I lose that I will lose everything and everyone I have because I live of my reputation

CAREW MURDER CASE

Mr Hyde killed another man with a cane.

“broke out in a great flame of anger, stamping with his foot, brandishing his cane, and carrying on like a madman”

Mr Utterson is informed of the murder.

“This was brought to the lawyer the next morning”

Mr Utterson thinks he knows where the killer lives.

“As the cab drew up before the address indicated”

Post Haste

Dear Mr Fields,

I come across your video in an English lesson and I believe that the way you reacted was right. I believe this because if you are a police officer in a school you need to show students that you are not a weak link otherwise other people will take advantage of you . For example if a new teacher came into a school many boys and girls will begin to test the teachers patients to get a reaction so that teacher will have to put their foot down and stamp his or hers authority on the class.

Once I had a male teacher who was new and quite young, it was his first job and I started playing bin shots with a piece of tin foil. And when he told me to stop I said “no” and threw the foil and with a big grin on my face I said “you alright sir?” as a few lessons passed I continued to take the mick and when I got home that night there was not a nice surprise waiting for me…the teacher had rung my parents.

My dad handles things a lot differently to how you handled that girl, my dad will let me have my say in the situation and if he thinks I’m in the wrong he will come down on me like a tonne of bricks, obviously you can’t ground the girl but you can easily handle the situation differently to how you did for example you can give the girl a chance to speak or you could let her know the consequences of what is about to happen and if she understands what could happen she could either go outside or give you her phone.

I said at the start of this letter that I agreed with you and as I have gone into detail with what you have done to this girl I have understood I was wrong with what I said.

It is your duty as a police officer and an adult to make children and young adults feel safe and happy at school and i believe what ever punishment you get you deserve because you have failed this duty of care. this also shows the public that you are not capable of looking after the streets of the united states because if you can do that with your arms and legs to a young girl in 9th grade thing of what you could do to man or a women who is carrying a knife or a baseball bat. i  understand these are extreme weapons but if you treat a 14 year old like that whilst you are unarmed you could easily shoot a man or women whilst on the streets of the united states.

But sir in your aid I also think the girl was in the wrong and should of handed the phone to the teacher in the first place so it would not have had to been brought to you.

yours sincerely , Harry L Watson

Story

I had never felt normal with my self…I was a 5 year old girl who never liked life I always wanted to mix with the boys but they never allowed this because you know what boys are like at they age they don’t like the ideas of girls being your friends. I was a smart child and my father always told me not to mix with boys because they only brake your heart so I never told just incase he got a pissed off but I also couldn’t tell my mum because she passed away when a drunken man smashed into the front of her car in the summer of 1993. So I just tryed my best to mix with the girls, I always felt like the odd one out when I was with the girls because I felt like a boy.

so as the years rolled on I was starting to be happier as a girl but I would still do anything to be a boy, I was 10 at this point and secondery school was just around the corner and my dad had got the impression that my every girl in the area was a slag so he put me into a girls school, I was furious and just couldn’t hold back my anger so as the summer holidays came I had an evil plan to run away on my mothers anniversary, it was 23rd of July and it was the last day of the school term and i enjoyed my last day with boys and girls.

My mothers anniversary was 6 days away I was on my best behaviour so my father didn’t suspect a thing I done everything a 10 year old would , played in the garden, went to my friends house and emptied the fridge. But before I knew it tonight was the night where I ran away from my fathers flat in suburban London. I packed my bag what I paid for with my weekly £30 pocket money. I took loads of essentials such as: Sweets, Healthy Foods, Toothbrush and paste and most importantly my clothes. As the clock struck 5:45 I heard my dad shout “dinner” but that was last thing I heard my dad say.

i jumped onto the second floor balcony from my third floor balcony and ran as fast as I could. I met Brittany at the local train station who gave me my last £150 and that was it… (TBC)

Class Work-Setting

image imageKayakoy is a “ghost town” in Turkey. It was abandoned in the 1900’s, Its population in 1900 was about 2,000, almost all Greek Christians; however, it is now empty except for tour groups and roadside vendors selling handmade goods. However, there is a selection of houses which have been restored, and are currently occupied.

Today Kayaköy village serves as a museum and is a historical monument. Around 500 houses remain as ruins and are under the protection of the Turkish government, including two Greek Orthodox Churches, which remain the most important sites of the ghost town.

On 9 September 2014, the Turkish government announced plans to develop the village. It plans to offer a 49-year lease that will “partially open Kayaköy’s archeological site to construction” and anticipated “construction of a hotel, as well as tourist facilities that will encompass one-third of the village.

On a warm night on July 3rd 2007 a pregnant lady was walking through the church ruins…she felt a fierce shake from under neath her and before she knew it she was on the floor, all she could think about was her soon to be born baby who was kicking like never before in her cut open stomach she was screaming for help but knew it would be a miracle for someone to be able to help her. a small male who was clearly closer to the female run straight through the falling church and didn’t think to help the women due to risking his own safety but that’s when I thought my self I need to step in, as the ground shook from underneath me about 50 yards away from the young lady I leaped from a crippled house to a fallen church…

The setting I have chosen is a abandoned stadium in the abandoned town of Kayakoy which is on the Greek side of Turkey.

Kayakoy was a place where a war happened and people had to flee and then no one ever bothered coming back

Today was an eventful day due to a very jealous and upset Mr Utterson attempting to confront over my choice of giving my personal belongings going to my kind friend Dr Jekyll, this conversation kind of infuriated me due to Mr Utterson being a friend to me and I thought he was going to accept my decision even though Dr Jekyll was a very close and personal friend.
