Dear Mr Fields,

I come across your video in an English lesson and I believe that the way you reacted was right. I believe this because if you are a police officer in a school you need to show students that you are not a weak link otherwise other people will take advantage of you . For example if a new teacher came into a school many boys and girls will begin to test the teachers patients to get a reaction so that teacher will have to put their foot down and stamp his or hers authority on the class.

Once I had a male teacher who was new and quite young, it was his first job and I started playing bin shots with a piece of tin foil. And when he told me to stop I said “no” and threw the foil and with a big grin on my face I said “you alright sir?” as a few lessons passed I continued to take the mick and when I got home that night there was not a nice surprise waiting for me…the teacher had rung my parents.

My dad handles things a lot differently to how you handled that girl, my dad will let me have my say in the situation and if he thinks I’m in the wrong he will come down on me like a tonne of bricks, obviously you can’t ground the girl but you can easily handle the situation differently to how you did for example you can give the girl a chance to speak or you could let her know the consequences of what is about to happen and if she understands what could happen she could either go outside or give you her phone.

I said at the start of this letter that I agreed with you and as I have gone into detail with what you have done to this girl I have understood I was wrong with what I said.

It is your duty as a police officer and an adult to make children and young adults feel safe and happy at school and i believe what ever punishment you get you deserve because you have failed this duty of care. this also shows the public that you are not capable of looking after the streets of the united states because if you can do that with your arms and legs to a young girl in 9th grade thing of what you could do to man or a women who is carrying a knife or a baseball bat. i  understand these are extreme weapons but if you treat a 14 year old like that whilst you are unarmed you could easily shoot a man or women whilst on the streets of the united states.

But sir in your aid I also think the girl was in the wrong and should of handed the phone to the teacher in the first place so it would not have had to been brought to you.

yours sincerely , Harry L Watson

Class Work-Setting

image imageKayakoy is a “ghost town” in Turkey. It was abandoned in the 1900’s, Its population in 1900 was about 2,000, almost all Greek Christians; however, it is now empty except for tour groups and roadside vendors selling handmade goods. However, there is a selection of houses which have been restored, and are currently occupied.

Today Kayaköy village serves as a museum and is a historical monument. Around 500 houses remain as ruins and are under the protection of the Turkish government, including two Greek Orthodox Churches, which remain the most important sites of the ghost town.

On 9 September 2014, the Turkish government announced plans to develop the village. It plans to offer a 49-year lease that will “partially open Kayaköy’s archeological site to construction” and anticipated “construction of a hotel, as well as tourist facilities that will encompass one-third of the village.

On a warm night on July 3rd 2007 a pregnant lady was walking through the church ruins…she felt a fierce shake from under neath her and before she knew it she was on the floor, all she could think about was her soon to be born baby who was kicking like never before in her cut open stomach she was screaming for help but knew it would be a miracle for someone to be able to help her. a small male who was clearly closer to the female run straight through the falling church and didn’t think to help the women due to risking his own safety but that’s when I thought my self I need to step in, as the ground shook from underneath me about 50 yards away from the young lady I leaped from a crippled house to a fallen church…

Transformation Story

This is a transformation which is going to be awfully similar to the Metamorphosis novella which is written by a man a man called Kafka, here are a few facts about transformation stores.

They must gave a obvious and physical change to someones or somethings physical attributes.

They should be changes that happen quite early on in the story to draw the reader in or the story will drag on and get quite boring and uninteresting.

If the change is unexpected then it will be more engaging and more than likely easier to understand.

One morning the was a teenage girl Amy taking something which is called a diet pill, well as the day went on and morning turned to noon Amy started to feel very unwell and started to feel very “fat” Amy carried on her day at school and after about n hour she still felt that way so she decided to ask people if there change in the way she acted or if her physical attributes had change in anyway shape or from well every time she got an answer it was always a “no”. Once the end of the came Amy decided to walk home instead of get a bus (because if was a hot day and didn’t really want to be even hotter on the bus) when Amy got home she still felt the same as she did at about noon. As she sat down to eat her dinner her physical attributes did start to change her waist started to become overweight very quickly her mother Donna was obviously very worried about and decided to call an Ambulance straight away as they sat there and waited for an ambulance to arrive Amy’s body took a turn for the worse. She started to look very blue with a mixture of rusty grey and suddenly her head became a pod (the sort of pod you see on the side of the of the London eye) obviously this is not really a normal transformation so as her mum was explaining to emergency services what was going on her mum the emergency services made the choice to end the call and they sent the police round to her house for “wasting police time” but once they arrived they realised they wrong so they tried to place the mini London eye into the police car but as you probably know the Wheel didn’t fit and due to the mother being a horrible lady who knew that London eye made so much she decided to place her young daughter on the market many people didn’t really want to ride the girl and the mother started to get to stick from newspapers and other media sources so the mother then made a silly choice and tried to place her daughter up for adoption and then that never worked and then they lived sadly ever after

Essay 1000-1200

Characters
Titus Andronicus – renowned Roman general
Lucius – Titus’s eldest son
Quintus – Titus’s son
Martius – Titus’s son
Mutius – Titus’s son
Young Lucius – Lucius’s son and Titus’ grandson
Lavinia – Titus’s daughter
Marcus Andronicus – Titus’s brother and tribune to the people of Rome
Publius – Marcus’s son
Saturninus – Son of the late Emperor of Rome; afterwards declared Emperor
Bassianus – Saturninus’s brother; in love with Lavinia

This opening paragraph is just a brief explanation of Titus Andronicus, Titus Andronicus is a tragedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written between 1588 and 1593, probably in collaboration with George Peele. It is thought to be Shakespeare’s first tragedy, and is often seen as his attempt to emulate the violent and bloody revenge plays of his contemporaries, which were Kextremely popular with audiences throughout the sixteenth century.

The most obvious theme in Titus Andronicus is revenge, this essay is about how William Shakespeare explores the idea of revenge in Titus Andronicus and also the use of language foe example, Dramatic Irony, Imagery and the use of Rhetorical question to build up the intenseness of revenge within his (William Shakespeare)

The use of revenge in Titus Andronicus is of a quite well planned and high standard which means it is almost compulsory to get revenge on someone who has done something to you in the past or could be planning to do something to you in the future and feel the need to get them back a lot worse for example; Demetrius and Chiron raped and mutilation of Lavinia and then Titus Andronicus tryed to kill them but ended up killing everyone in the process, I will also highlight many other Language devices and types of revenge through out this essay.

As I said in paragraph 1 revenge in Titus Andronicus is almost never endin, which to me seems like William Shaksepeare has somethiing to prove when it comes to revenge so he could be sending a strong message out to people saying he wanted to get revenge on a certain someone or certain something.

The type of language William Shakespeare uses is quite intense and can build up a lot of speculation about what is going to happen next, because he always has a different type of revenge for example Saturinus makes Titus Andronicus chop off his hands so that he could no longer rule Rome and could get his sons heads back but as I stated earlier Lavinia had been raped and also had her hands and tounge cut off so she could not tell her father Titus Andronicus or anyone else who raped her so then they could get away with it and then towards the end of the play Titus Andronicus topped it all off by killing everyone with a pie that killed everyone.

You have to use imagery when reading any sort of text, not just plays or poems, so when William Shakespeare describes a scene of revenge or any sort of scene for that matter your have to use imagery to be able to “put the pieces together” and it also gives the play a bit more tension and engages the reader because they can basically see what the charcters in the play are trying

Shakespeare also uses emotive language to show the reader of the text that because it is a dramatic scene you have to use to emotive to language to show the reader that the characters are enthusiastic for what is about to happen.           Who is this? My niece that flies away so fast?.

CHARACTER ANALYSIS

Titus Andronicus is a war hero who has just returned to Rome after a battle against the  so called Goths. Titus gets into a vicious cycle of revenge with the Queen of the Goths (Roman Empress) that culminates in an act of cannibalism

Tamora is the Queen of the Goths who turned Roman Empress. After Titus ritually sacrifices her eldest son, Tamora makes it her mission in life to make Titus and his family upset. She makes happen this through her pretty looks, sensuality, and ability to manipulate those around her.

When Shakespeare uses revenge in Titus Andronicus I believe that he is trying to show that revenge can be used in very serious matters for example the Emperor says he will spare Titus andronicus’s sons but only if Titus Andronicus cuts of both of his own hands, so Titus does as the Emperor says and cuts of both of his own hands. But the Emperor does not spare Titus Andronicus sons and sends both of their heads back but with no body attached to the heads. Which kind of tells me that Sir William Shakespeare is saying revenge can cost people lives and also cost the lives of people you love and care about very very much indeed.

The word “revenge” in the modern day life tells people that something very bad is about to happen, for example someone says to me “he said he is going to get revenge” for something bad that I did to him or someone he loves or cares about it tells me that he is going to get me back which could be a warning for me to “keep a look out”. Revenge in modern day life also is a sign of danger because of the violence in the world there is so much that the person who is seaking revenge could use for example a knife or a gun….

In sonnet 140 it does not really contain revenge but there are hints that someone could be thinking evil thoughts. It is also it is does appear however something is stirring revenge. And get someone back. This is evident because this because Shakespeare writes “Now this ill-wresting world is grown so bad” in the play Titus Andronicus there is an unholy amount of revenge and as I said there is revenge actually being used. That is the only real pieces of revenge that you can compare within the play Titus Andronicus and Sonnet 140

How does Shakespeare present love in Sonnet 18?

The topic of my essay is about how love is presented in Sonnet 18. Sonnet 18 is one of 154 sonnets that Shakespeare had written as a result of an unknown crush. He wrote sonnets to this unknown person in order to win their affection. However, the first 15 sonnets are presented for Her Royal Highness. Shakespeare presents love as a flirtatious game between young lovers. Shakespeare presents love in Sonnet 18 by using language devices such as natural imagery, hyperbole and a rhetorical question.

Shakespeare presents love to the reader by using natural imagery. This presents love that lasts very long for example in the line off Shakespeare’s sonnet 18 he says “shall I compare thee to a summers day” this shows the reader that he’s love for him or her is going to be for the rest of his or her life. It uses natural imagery because summer is not made by anyone or anything. There are many other language devices that relate to natural imagery for example “so long as men can breath and the eye can see” this is natural imagery that relates to a males body, so it makes it easier to understand what point Shakespeare is trying to get across to the reader and it also makes it easier to understand because Shakespeare uses modern day language to get his point through to his crush weather it’s a male or a female person.

Shakespeare presents love to the reader by using hyperbole. This presents love as statements that are not meant to be taken seriously for example Shakespeare says and I quote “summer shall not fade” this is not meant to be taken seriously by the reader or Shakespeare’s crush before Shakespeare states “summer shall not fade” he says “eternal summer” in this saying Shakespeare is using natural imagery and hyperbole to put his point across to the reader He he is just showing his crush that his love will last all summer, that’s why his saying “eternal summer”, eternal means for ever and ever so he will love him or her for an eternal amount of time, this statement from sonnet 18 (“eternal summer shall not fade”) I do not believe that Shakespeare wants the readers of sonnet 18 to believe that summer will last forever so it is important that I make it clear in this essay Shakespeare does not mean summer is coming forever

Shakespeare presents love to the reader by using a rhetorical question. There is a rhetorical question in the first line of sonnet 18 “shall I compare thee to summers day” most people enjoy a bright warm sunny day so Shakespeare is asking weather he should compare his crush to one of these (hot sunny day) Shakespeare must know weather his crush likes Sunny days or not because if they dislike a sunny day it would put Shakespeare even further back down the friends list but if they like a hot summers day then it will put a positive vibe on Shakespeare crush and be happy to be compared to a hot summers day

In conclusion, Shakespeare presents love by using language devices such as hyperbole, natural imagery and a rhetorical question. Overall these language devices communicate Shakespeare’s crush likes a summers day the author can use a question which asks if he should compare them to a summers day for example shakespeare says “shall I compare thee to a summers day”.
